Daniel Joseph Fleming
March 24, 1931 - March 9, 2018
Daniel Joseph Fleming, 86, of Toledo, OH, died Friday, March 9, 2018, at his residence surrounded by his loving family . Born March 24, 1931, in Detroit, MI, he was the son of Marion and Margaret (Smith) Fleming. Dan proudly served in his country in the Army and was employed by Wonder Bread for over 20 years, retiring from Hostess in 1990. On March 27, 1954 Dan married Kathi Noll, and enjoyed 64 years together. Dan enjoyed golfing, crossword puzzles, and spending time with his family and friends at the Bavarian Sports Club and was an active member of the GAF society.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathi “Katchje”; daughter, Laurie (Bernie) Maycrovich; son, John (Amy) Fleming; grandchildren, Desire’ (Rony) Rengifo, Carissa Maycrovich, Caleb and Zoey Fleming; great grandchildren, Jonathan, Jayda, Hailey, Charlotte “Charlie” and Mikenna.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2013 from 3-8:00pm at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Road (At Jackman Rd.)Temperance, MI. 48182. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00am at the funeral home, followed by interment services at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park cemetery, Toledo, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Road, Perrysburg, Ohio 43550, Lucas County Veterans Services or the Bavarian Sports Club.
